Deciduous woodland species, widespread and can be locally common.
Can show central black dots, but small on hindwing, and usually absent on forewing.
Similar Lesser Cream Wave is smaller, with less pointed, rounded wings, showing central dots.Recorded in 58 (78%) of 74 10k Squares.
